Become A Christmas Bread Winner With Brace's

16 November 2011

Children across South Wales are being invited to get crafty and design a cracking Christmas card for Brace’s Bakery to send to 5,000 customers.

Run in conjunction with the South Wales Echo newspaper, the competition offers a fantastic showcase for the winners’ handiwork. The winner and runner-up will both receive £250 each to spend on a Christmas present of their choice, free Brace’s bread for a year worth £250 and the opportunity to take their class around our Crumlin bakery to see how bread is made.

Scott Richardson, sales and marketing director at Brace’s, said: “We have always had a fantastic standard of entries to our annual Christmas card competition and also a great response from our customers who receive the cards. We are looking for children across the region to get drawing and send in their designs for this year’s Brace’s Christmas card.

“The pictures can be drawn or painted, and can be of anything they want, from Christmas trees and gifts to Winter Wonderland snow scenes and Father Christmas. But every design must contain the word Brace’s so that our customers know who the card is from.
“This is a great chance to get creative and also win a cash prize which, we hope, will make it a very special Christmas indeed.”

Our last Christmas card winner was 10-year-old Camille Danielsen, from Barry, whose colourful cracker card design impressed judges and was picked from scores of entries. Her design was sent out to thousands of the bakery's customers while Noah Pugh, from Cwmparc, was runner-up.

Entry rules:

Entrants must be under 11 years old and children will need to send their entry to Brace’s Christmas Card, The South Wales Echo, Six Park Street, Cardiff, CF10 1XR by Monday, 28th November 2011.  They will also need to include their name, age, address, name of school and a contact number for a parent or guardian.

Good luck!
