Brace’s Bread boosts Operation Santa appeal

30 November 2015

Brace’s Bread has supported Operation Santa, Caerphilly County Borough Council’s annual Christmas appeal for the third year in a row and is urging other organisations to get involved.
The family run bakery has donated packs of Welsh cakes to be included in hampers which will be provided to young adults leaving care this Christmas.

Operation Santa makes Christmas special for more than 800 children and young people in the local area who won’t receive help from any other appeal over the festive period.

Scott Richardson, CEO at Brace’s said "We are delighted to be supporting this appeal again. Christmas can be a difficult time for many and we hope our small donation will bring a smile to young people in tough circumstances.

“Operation Santa makes a huge difference and we hope more organisations will show their support for this year’s campaign and help bring festive cheer to as many children and young people as possible.”

Cllr. Robin Woodyatt, Cabinet Member for Social Services, said: “We are extremely grateful for the donation and continued support from Brace’s Bakery. Without generous contributions like this, Operation Santa would not be possible. And there is still time for organisations to pledge to buy a gift and make Christmas for young people across the county.”

To get involved and support the Operation Santa appeal please call the pledge hotline on 01443 866 577 or email by Thursday 3rd December.
