Cowbridge RFC Kitted Out By Brace's Bakery

01 June 2011

Brace’s, Wales’ largest independent bakery, dough-nated kit to Cowbridge under-14s rugby club for a recent winning trip to Paris.

The squad of 13 and 14-year-olds comfortably won all four group games in the prestigious Paris Invitation Tournament, before going on to beat Manchester in the semi and trouncing Judd School in the Final by 39 points to nil.

The Cowbridge lads have only lost one game throughout this season and wore their smart Brace’s-sponsored hoodies throughout the tournament. Eleven of the Cowbridge squad also play for Cardiff Blues’ youth team and some also train with Wales’ basketball team.

Scott Richardson, sales and marketing director at Brace’s Bakery, which has been baking in Wales since the early 1900s, said: “We owe much of our success to the loyalty of our customers who have been buying our products in local shops and supermarkets for the last 100 years and supporting community teams like this is our opportunity to give something back. Many congratulations to Cowbridge Under-14s for their success so far and we look forward to watching with interest their success during coming seasons.”
