Parents in Caerphilly get a surprise warm up from Brace’s Bread

14 April 2016

Since the launch of Brace’s Bakery’s Toast on the Touchline campaign in January, wet and windswept parents and family members across South Wales have been rewarded for their heroic efforts.

Throughout February, March and April, Brace’s Bakery have been out and about delivering hot cuppas and slices of toast to the off-pitch champions who never miss a match.

Parents, families and clubs were asked to post on social media when and where they will support their little sporting heroes using the hashtag #MakeMeToasty.

The last surprise visit went to the parents of Blackwood RFC and Newbridge RFC, both in Caerphilly, who received their toasty treats this Sunday 10 April. The clubs were nominated by parents on the Brace’s Facebook page.

Amy Reynolds whose son trains with Newbridge RFC said: “As much as we enjoy supporting our kids doing what they love, it often means being battered by wind and rain and standing in the cold with mud up to our knees! We couldn’t believe our luck when the Brace’s Fun Team turned up and saved the day with a warm cuppa and toast.”
