Festive Pizzas
Makes 4
This is an alternative to the usual Christmas leftover bits and pieces. Most children love pizzas and making them can be great fun. This recipe lets them be creative and I have to say that the results will be delicious - so get them to make plenty.
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
What do you need?
4 thick slices of Brace’s white bread, crusts removed
4 dessertspoons cranberry jelly
150g cooked turkey, cubed
100g stuffing, cut into bite-size pieces
75g cooked bacon or ham
50g cheese, grated
1 dessertspoon chopped parsley
Olive oil for brushing
Let's make it
Preheat the oven to gas mark 6, 200c, 400f.
Roll out the slices of bread and then cut a circle out of each slice. Brush with a little oil and bake in the oven for ten minutes, until crisp and golden.
Remove and allow to cool for a couple of minutes. Spread each round with cranberry jelly, top with a mixture of turkey, bacon and stuffing.
Brush very lightly with olive oil and a sprinkle of cheese.
Return to the oven and cook for ten minutes.
Sprinkle with parsley and serve warm with a nice crunchy coleslaw.
