Quick dip

Here is a recipe for garlic lovers everywhere, it really packs a punch and is a nutritional dream. Garlic is good for the blood and immune system whilst the vegetables that are used for dipping, are a terrific source of vitamins and minerals and provide a zesty energy boost.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
What do you need?
2 medium slices Brace’s white bread, crusts removed and slightly dry
Juice of ½ lemon
1 fat clove garlic, peeled and grated
1 dessertspoon chopped herbs such as parsley, chives or coriander
Freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Mixed vegetables for dipping such as celery, carrot and mangetout
Let's make it
Soak the bread in cold water and squeeze the excess out. Mash on a plate and mix in the lemon juice, garlic and black pepper.
Gradually mix in the olive oil and place in a serving dish.
Cut the vegetables into chunky pieces that are ideal for dipping.
